Nigeria: FRSC Arrest 20,621 Over Seat Belt Violations in 2019 in Anambra

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Anambra Sector Command, Mr Andrew Kumapayi, has announced that it arrested 20,621 persons for violating seat belt rules and other traffic regulations in 2019.

According to Mr Andrew Kumapayi, a total of 22,560 traffic-related offences were recorded in the same year, where 13,208 vehicles were seized over offences bordering on road obstruction.

In his remark, he noted that seat belt violations were the leading traffic offence in the state for the year 2019.
