HSE Officer Job in Lagos (Island), Nigeria

Location: Lagos (Island)


Degree in Health and Safety Management or related course of study.

A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience as a HSE Officer in the Hospitality industry (Restaurant, Cinema or Hotel) as a HSE Officer.

NEBOSH, OSHA or IRCA certifications are an added advantage.

Job Description

Develop and implement health and safety educational programs or activities to improve awareness of safety and protection procedures.

Implement and monitor safety inspection programs.

Ensure compliance to government safety regulations in the cinemas and restaurants.

Conduct regular risk assessments for all areas in the cinemas and restaurants.

Implement site specific control measures to minimize hazards.

Prepare and share safety reports with the Management weekly.

Responsible for implementing food and product safety standards.

Manage and control all documents (manuals, policies, procedures, logs) related to Food, Environmental Health and Safety measures, HACCP and the corresponding reports.

Responsible for leading refresher training on food safety, hygiene and HSE in line with the training calendar for the year.

Train HSE Champions across all sites on the appropriate use of fire extinguishers, first aid kits and necessary safety procedures.
