HSE (Health and Safety News)

Since having close contact is one of the major direct cause of increase transmission of the dreaded VOVID-19 virus, the HSE are advising the public not to have sex with people that they don’t live with to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Instead young people are being urged to have “online sex”, sex over the phone or masturbate.

The HSE and the Irish Pharmacy Union (IPU) also say in their new campaign that people should be washing their hands with soap and water for 20 seconds before and after sex – the Irish Independent reports.

A letter from the HSE to pharmacies reads: “While sexual health may not be a primary healthcare focus in the current environment, as restrictions ease there is a strong possibility that heightened sexual risk-taking will occur and people’s sexual health and wellbeing will be affected.
